Subject: Master Plan 139(B) -- Rancho Carrillo
Costa Real Municipal Water District
Mr. Chairman and Members of the Planning Commission:
The Costa Real Municipal Water District has evaluated the subject pro-
posal relating to the alignment of Palomar Airport Road and we have the
following comments for your consideration.
The Water District currently operates an existing 27-inch steel trans-
mission main that is one of the three major supply pipelines for the
entire Water District which is located in Palomar Airport Road. Insofar
as the realignment of the road under the master plan as well as the
proposal to utilize the existing right-of-way, the Water District has
no objections provided that the integrity of our water system facilities
can be maintained from the standpoint of both vertical and horizontal
alignment.
At the time a formal development project is presented to the Water Dis-
trict for consideration of the local public water supply, the development
and the District will agree upon the appropriate comrectioirs tftat will
be made to the existing transmission main so that any adjustment of the
alignment will not materially impact the Water District's
