Headquarter Re: Building Height for new design Dear Mr. Hunter, Thank you for meeting with me to review the City of Carlsbad's 35 foot height limit and method of measuring it, regarding the above mentioned pro j ect . A summary of the meeting is as follows: Appplying the Carlsbad Height ordinance, the highest existing grade at the perimeter of the building is 5 elev. 373.0'. A 35 foot height limit would put top of building at elev. 408.0'. Our building first floor pad is at elev. 370.0'. The floor to floor height is 12 '-6". At three stories, this brings our roof to 37 '-6Il. We are adding a l1-6'* parapet to this, but according to Carlsbad ordipance No.'21.46.020 parapets are allowed above the height limit. Therefore, from elevation 370.0' + 37'-611 puts the roof of our building at elevation 4071-6'q which is 6'' below the 408.0' height limit. Therefore our building conforms. If there are any discrepancies with my understanding and record of our meeting, please notify me as soon as possible. Once again, thank you for your time. Sincerely, -A%+@ Mark B.
