Dear Ms. Fulford,
Attached are letters with Mr. Brian Hunter approving the height of our building
submitted to you in the above mentioned PIP.
As you will find, based on the ordinances and standards for rooftop equipment, we have
met with all requirements. Since our mechanical system is quite tall, we have used
parapets in the center of our building to screen it and used the same building materials
to create an integral and aesthetically sensitive design.
Although the parapets are tall in this area, we feel they improve the design and are
more sensitive to the surroundings. Mr. Hunter confirmed this and stated that parapets
and rooftop equipment may be erected above the roof height limits as is stated in
ordinance 21.46.020
It should also be noted that, for this submittal, Phase 2 has been postponed at this time.
