Re: HAC PIP 87-7
Dear Ms. Landers:
We appreciate the constructive meeting today attended by Mr. Thomas Brown
and Mr. Jack Buonarati of Hughes Aircraft Company, Mr. Bob Brotherton and
Mr. Michael Kinoshita of Krommenhoek, McKeown and Associates, and Mr. Clyde
Wickum and yourself. Hughes is directing our Architect, Krommenhoek, McKeown
and Associates, to revise the P.I.P. submittal as based on the following
understandings reached during the meeting.
ITEM
1. Item 1 of your letter of December 30, 1987 is withdrawn. Access to
Palomar Airport Road will not be eliminated. The City will require
Hughes Aircraft Company to pay for 1/2 of the median strip on Palomar
Airport Road at such time as the development directly across Palomar
Airport Road proceeds. When the median strip is constructed, there will
be an agreement with the street frontage property owners and the City
to upgrade the road all at the same time to provide U-turns at Yarrow
Drive and Camino Vida Roble. When the median is constructed, Hughes
will agree to eliminate the left turn channel lane into the property.
Access to the property will be right turn in and right turn out only.
The road will be posted to reflect this requirement.
2. Hughes Aircraft Company will provide drawings with site grading, contours,
cut and fill, import and export quantities, utilities, drainage, trash
compactor and circulation using Caltrans 407D template for access.
(Items 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6, Engineering Issues).
3. Item 7 on the Engineering Issues was a recommendation that any new
paving on the rear access road will be designed for truck traffic.
4. Provide three 4-1/2' wide landscape strips at the parking along the
southeast property line and two 4-1/2' wide landscape strips at the
parking along the south property line. (Item 1, Planning Comments).
