Fire Extinguishers: Surface -. mounted 2A10 BC rated ' extinguishers per every 6,000 s. f. of building with the distance between any two extinguishers not exceeding 75'-Ott. Location and hourly rating of separation walls are denoted on attached sheet E-2. Distance of facility to Property Lines: 98.7' North ,a South 64' East 20' West There are no adjacent buildings to the proposed project. The closest building is located in Pacific Ridge Commerce Centre approximately 1,000 feet away. Occupancy Classification: B-2 Existing Zone: PM (proposed is the same) Existing General Plan Designation: PL (proposed is the same) Site Plan: See drawing E-1 .- I OPERATIONAL INFORMATION: All materials are. to be stored and used inside of the building. The materials which are to be stored only on the site include the Hollis 225, Hollis 600, and the Prelete. The materials which are to be stored and used are the CPVC Solvent Cement and the CPVC primer. .. For location of material use and storage as well as occupancy separations and wall ratings see the floor plan sheet E-2. The material transportation and handling of the Hollis 225, Hollis 600 and the Prelete are all the responsibility of a contracted commercial courier. These materials are stored in steel drums which are solely handled by this courier. The CPVC solvent cement and primer, which are both in aggregate amounts of no more than 8-12 pints at one time, are both used as a common method of attaching PVC piping together. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS INFORMATION: For material classifications applied to the UBC and for the proposed, immediate material quantities see Attachment 2 (Sheet E- The future tenant would like to have a potential aggregate amount of 3,000 gallons of the Hollis 600 and the Prelete. Therefore, there are two control areas which are denoted on Sheet E-2. For material classifications see,Z+ttachment 1 (Sheet E-3). 4) * - 2 CONCLUSION: Accordinq to the UBC table 9A and 9B the storage of materials is as follows: Hollis 225 is not limited in the amounts which may be stored, while the aggregate amount of the Hollis 600, Prelete, CPVC solvent cement and the CPVC primer is limited to 1,000 gallons per contro1,area. The current storage of these limited materials ranges from 1,650 to 2,750 gallons. The future tenant would like to have the potential of an aggregate sum of 3,000 gallons. The UBC allows a total of 4 control areas for the proposed building type, however only two will be needed and utilized to obtain the 3,000 gallon limit. That is 1,000 per each control area and up to 1,000 in the uncontrolled area, for a total of 3,000 gallons. The only materials which will be used are the CPVC primer and CPVC solvent cement. Both materials will be used in an open system to attach PVC piping together. The use of materials in an open system for proposed building type according to table 9A is 20 gallons maximum. The future tenant intends to have in use at any one time approximately 4-6 pints, .or .75 gallons. Thus the proposed building is well within the limits for the hazardous materials which will be used on site, and within the UBC parameters for storage of hazardous materials by use of two control areas. -I ?lag pol. ?lre hydrant. .Land*cap. irriqation control.
