Thank you for applying for Land Use Permits in the City of Carlsbad. The Planning
Department has reviewed your Planned Industrial Permit, application no. PIP 94-01, as to
its completeness for processing.
The application is complete, as submitted. Although the initial processing of your
application may have already begun, the technical acceptance date is acknowledged by the
date of this communication. Attached is a list of items either left off the original submittal
or items needed to supplement the basic information required for the application. In
addition, you should also be aware that various design issues may exist. These issues must
be addressed before this application can be scheduled for a hearing. The Planning
Department will begin processing your application as of the date of this communication.

PLANNING:
1. Correct arrow to landscape island on northeasterly property line.
2. See attached redlined landscape plans for comments and recommendations for the
landscaping of this project. . Please return the redlined plans with the new set of
plans. '
ENGINEERING:
1. Show location of existing Sewer manhole and Storm Drain inlets.
ISSUES OF CONCERN
PLANNMG:
1. The landscape area (6' x 8') along the northeasterly property line is shown to have
a 24" box tree. The construction plans show a concrete pad in the same location
that may cover up a bulk of the planting area. Please confirm use of this area. If
the equipment pad is to be located at this site, low shrubs may be .appropriate to
screen the equipment.
2. Trash enclosure should be placed in a location that is more accessible for servicing.
The present location requires traversing the loading area and also has the possibility
of being boxed in by cars.
