PIP 94-02 CARLSBAD AIRPORT CENTRE LOT 36
Dear Teresa:
Pursuant to comments provided by SANDAG, dated October 3,1994 regarding the above referenced
PIP 94-02, please be advised that the County of San Diego has had a long standing interest in Lot
36 for development of a passenger terminal and parking facility at McClellan-Palomar Airport.
Approval to acquire Lot 36 is scheduled to be submitted for consideration and action by the Board
of Supervisors in the near future. While the Division of Airports can only wait and see whether
escrow will close on the property by the proponent of PIP 94-02, we are taking the position that it
will not and we will move forward with our plan of action. Should escrow close, the Division of
Airports, in consultation with the Federal Aviation Administration and the Master Plan Consultant,
will reevaluate the issue at that time.
