Preliminary review of your project was conducted on November 2, 1994.. Listed below are the issues raised
by staff. Please note that the purpose of a preliminary review is to provide you with direction and comments
on the overall concept of your project. The oreliminarv review does not rewesent an in-dellth analysis
of Your Droiect. Additional issues of concern may be raised after Your amlication is submitted and
processed for a more swciftc and detailed review.
Overall the proposal meets or exceeds the development standards of Specific Plan 18 1(A). Turning radii
should be plotted on the site plan to show the provision for access and circulation for a 42 foot truck, per
California Department of Transportation Highway Design Manual, Figure 407E.
The West building elevation indicates a provision for a future truck door. Please be advised that access and
circulation for a 42 foot truck must be provided to this area. Consideration should also be given for replacing
those parking spaces that would be removed in order to access this future door.
This project will be subject to comply with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES)
permit. This permit requires the project to provide best management practices to reduce surface pollutants
to an acceptable level prior to discharge. The plans should indicate how this requirement will be met. Please
note that drainage from the sump area of the loading ramp is also subject to this requirement.
The proposal is in conformance with the Palomar Airport Comprehensive Landuse Plan and will be reviewed
by San Diego Association of Govemments(Sandag) after submittal of a Planned Industrial Permit.
The Planned Industrial Ordinance requires a Planned Industrial Permit to be approved prior to development.
