Dear Chris:
SWAG staff has reviewed the Planned Industrial Permit 95-06. The proposed site is
located within the McClellan-Palomar Airport Influence Area. The site is between the 60
and 65 Community Noise Equivalent Level (CNEL) noise contours.
SANDAG's Airport Land Use Commission rules and regulations authorize staff to make
a determination if the proposal is compatible with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The
following comment has not been reviewed by the SANDAG Board of Directors serving
as the region's Airport Land Use Commission.
The proposed project is a compatible land use with the McClellan-Palomar
Comprehensive Land Use Plan if the property owner@) execute an avigation
easement with the City of Carlsbad and the County of San Diego. The
purpose of the easement is to notify the property owner that the site is between
the 60 and 65 Community Noise Equivalent Levels and will be impacted by
overflight activity from the airport.
