Re: PIP - 95-06 Grading Permit Dear Mr. Holzmlller; As I explained in our telephone conversation Friday Dec 22, We have closed escrow on our 8 acre lot in the Carlsbad Airport Centre, and we are anxious to commence our grading operation which is expected to take three to four weeks to complete. With the posslbility of future rains, it is important for us to commence grading as soon as pssible. We have been working on our plans for six months and have completed all the requlrements of our plans except the final landscaping plan. We have gone through our second plan check of the landscape plan with Larry Black, and he has stated he is comfortable enough with our progress to recommend issuance of our grading permit. The staff planner has declined our request to release our grading plan. We request your assistance in having the planning department release our grading permit immediately. We will continue to process our landscaping plan and reallze we cannot pull a building permit until the landscape plan receives final approval from the City. We expect this to occur within the next two to three weeks depending on the turnaround from Larry Black. Thank you for your attentlon to this matter. Very truly yours, Charles Sher Partner cc: Gary Wayne
