Overall, the proposal for development of lot 48 of the Carlsbad Airport Centre meets the development standards of the Specific Plan. The only concern is regarding the use of overhanging parking spaces. The use of these spaces has not been endorsed by the Planning Director. Compact spaces must be a minimum width of eight feet and a minimum length of fifteen feet with no overhang permitted and should be located in separate isles and in close proximity to the building.
