For Site Plan 'A', turning radii should be plotted on the site plan to show the provision
for access and circulation for a 60' truck, per California Department of Transportation
Highway Design Manual, Figure 407D. For Site Plan 'B', the required radius is 42''
per California Department of Transportation Highway Design Manual, Figure 407E.

Site Plan 'A' shows a dead end parking aisle in the front of the building. Please note
that dead end parking aisles are to have adequate turnaround space at the aisle terminus
to accommodate a maximum 3-point turn for a standard passenger vehicle.
It appears that the security gate on Site Plan 'A' will encroach into two parking stalls.
Please locate the security gate so it does not interfere with parking stalls.
Handicapped parking stalls should be located so that disabled pedestrians do not have to
cross a traffic aisle to gain access to the building.
While no drainage rates are shown, please note that a minimum 1 % slope is required for
site drainage.
Please forward the red-lined check print to the applicant. If you have questions regarding any
of the comments above, please contact me at extension 4380.
