The project is located between the existing Carlsbad Research Center Industrial Park and existing single family residential development and is within the boundaries of the coastal zone regulated by the policies of the Mello I1 segment of Cnrlsbad's Local Coastal Program. The project grading will impact .78
acres of disturbed coastal sage scrub; preservation ofoffsite mitigation is proposed..
