HomeMy WebLinkAboutPIP 98-06A; Palomar Business Park Parking Lot Expansion; Planned Industrial Permit (PIP) (12)- Ci'ty of Carlsbad NEGATIVE DECLARATION Project AddressLocation: Northeast comer of Palomar Airport Rd and Loker Avenue East. Property is also identified by Assessor's parcel number 209-083-17 Project Description: The addition of a 86,800 square foot, 314 parking space, asphalt parking area to serve an existing industrial building on lots 32, 33 and portion of 34 of the Carlsbad Airport Business Center Tract Map (CT 74-21). The improvements will be done on an existing pre-graded industrial lot, portion of lot 34, which will be boundary adjusted to lots 32 and 33. Grading for the project will result in 6,717 cubic yards of excess material which will be stockpiled on the remainder portion of Lot 34. Total project area is 13.28 acres with 156,716 square feet of existing building area. The City of Carlsbad has conducted an environmental review of the above described project pursuant to the Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act and the Environmental Protection Ordinance of the City of Carlsbad. As a result of said review, a Negative Declaration (declaration that the project will not have a significant impact on the environment) is hereby issued for the subject project. Justification for this action is on file in the Planning Department. A copy of the Negative Declaration with supportive documents is on file in the Planning Department, 1635 Faraday Avenue, Carlsbad, California 92008. Comments from the public are invited.
