SUBJECT: PS 01-100 - SIGN PROGRAM - RANCHO LA COSTA VILLAGE
Gentlemen:
The Planning Department has completed its review of the proposed sign program. The following
issues have been identified. Please correct the sign program as indicated and return for review.
1. All sign programs must incorporate the substitution provisions of Section 21.41.025
of the Sign Ordinance (see attached section of the ordinance). Therefore, please
include as part of the Sign Criteria on Sheet S-1.
2. All elevations and details on plans must be drawn to scale and dimensioned. Please
revise plans with scaled elevations and details and dlmensions.
3. Please add the sight distance line shown on the approved landscape plan to Sheet S2
on all monument sign details and the site plan to illustrate that the proposed
monument signs will not visually obstruct traffic exiting the project.
4. Please add the tile element approved for the drug store to the monument sign and
provide a materials/color board with the next submittal.
5. The proposed wall, monument, and blade (suspended), and directional signage
exceeds the newly adopted sign area and design standards as identified in the
following table. Please revise the plans in accordance with the allowed sign standards
and provide a revised table to show compliance.
