Sign installation security deposit of $500.00 must be received in Newport Beach office. 5. Signed ElFS acknowledgement & sign instatlation deposit receipt completed and received. Sign company to receive copy of Tenant Work Notification which has been faxed to Carlsbad Company Stores security department. This document states that sign company has met requirements and has been approved to install. The basic premise is that all penetrations into the ElFS system are required to be sealed against water intrusion. The sleeve is to be sealed at the exterior face and filled with sealant before bolt is inserted to ensure sealing. Elastomeric paint (color to match storefront facade) Is required. Type of Sealant: Design and detailing of controUexpansion joints and selection of sealant type and color shall be the responsibility of the ArchitecUEngineer of Record. This includes joint type, configuration, width and depth. 1. Sealant shall have written sealant manufacturer's approvai for use on the exterior. 2. Only high-performance low-modulus silicone, polyurethane, and polysulfide sealants meeting the requirements of ASTM C 920 for Type 'S" or 'M". Grade 'NS', Class '25' (+25% or greater movement capability} shall be used. (Such as Dow Coming 790 or 795 silicone). Use only sealants that will accommodate a 50% negative movement (compression), such as Daw Coming 790 and 795 Siticone Building Sealants or equivalent at all horizontal control joints in wood framed construction. Sealant shall be tested for compatibility with the materials to which it is bonded, by the sealant manufacturer. Sealant primer, if required, shall be used as specified by the sealant manufacturer for the selected sealant to ensure suitable bond of sealant to materials on both sides of the joint. The sealant primer shall be jointly approved by the Exterior Products Manufacturer. Architect and sealant manufacturer prior to sealant installation.
