Per your request, I am authorizing you to add the following additional
notational information to the approved planning drawing set:
1) Above each dispenser located on the spanner, the Chevron Logo sign
will be 1.37 square feet.
2) We will be leaving the sign as shown however, it will be extemally
illuminated with a ground spot light on each side of the sign.
3) The actual High Rise Chevron Logo sign face only is 6'-0" w x 7'-0"
h or 42.00 square feet.
4) The 2 Chevron'' Wordmark signs on the canopy will be reduced to
16.00 square feet each for a total of 32.00 square feet.

Austin,
Per your request, I am sending you the additional information (noted in
red) needed for the sign permit application. The following items to need
to be provided:
1) Dimensions of the dispenser signs on elevation number 4 (not to
exceed 2.5 square feet per sign).
Above each dispenser located on the spanner, the Chevron Logo sign is
1.37 square feet. •
2) Letters on the monument sign of elevation number 6 need to be
individual channel letters, or they may remain the same if the sign is
externally illuminated.
We will be leaving the sign as shown however, it will be externally
illuminated.
3) Dimensions of the actual sign, not the sign cabinet of the hallmark
high-rise sign on elevation number 7 (not to exceed 50 square feet).
The actual High Rise Chevron Logo sign face only is 6'-0" w x 7'-0" h or
42.00 square feet.
I will need an image of the revised monument sign, while you may email
me the dimensions of the other sign. It may be easier for you to just
resend 3 more plans of the signs. Please contact me at (760) 434-2812 if

Chevron Facility #923211044 Carlsbad Village DriveCarlsbad, CA We are preparing to Re-Image an
existing Chevron Fueling and Market Facility located in the City of Carlsbad as referenced above. We are
not proposing to change the existing use or add any additional square footage to the project. The following
is a brief summary on the proposed scope of work: Replace the existing canopy fascia with new ACM
fascia material Add light valance for low wattage LED along the length of the canopy fascia Replace the
existing canopy fascia with new bull nose, pearl colored (sand) ACM material at ends of the canopy Add
blue lens at ends of canopy for LED lights Replace existing "Chevron" canopy fascia signs with new
similar "Chevron" signs Replace existing Hallmark canopy logo fascia signs with new Hallmark canopy
logo signs Add pump identifying flags at columns Replace existing spanners over fuel dispensers with new
smaller ones Replace existing decals at fuel dispensers with new ones Replace existing trash valets with
new ones at the dispenser islands Reface existing monument sign with new faces Reface existing high
rise freeway sign with a new face Attached I have given you a sample of what the canopy will be like at
night time with the low wattage LED lighting. Also, I've attached a photo of the existing canopy. Could you
spend a few moments and provide me with answers to these questions? 1. What is the zoning of this
parcel?2. What is the APN number for this site?3. Confirm that this will be submitted to the City of
Carlsbad Planning Department.4. What will be the planning process to obtain approval for this described
work?5. If the application requires the owners signature, may we sign as the owner's agent? If so, will
you require a letter of agency?6. What will be the fee? 7. Will this be a staff level approval or is there a
public hearing to attend?8. What are the requirements or materials and number of copies of drawings
that you will require for the application submittal?9. Because of our office location being in the San
Francisco Bay area and the lack of a budget, can the application be mailed in?10. Please e-mail me or
fax me a copy of the sign ordinance that would apply to our site. 11. Please e-mail or fax me the
application form that is required for this type of application. 12. If we can mail it confirm the mailing address
