Prior to approval, all such proposed signs must be reviewed for potential issues by the Traffic Engineering Department, which will not allow signs to be approved over the counter. Additional time will be required for on-site inspection. The proposed plans for a single monument sign are largely consistent with the Design Guidelines, with a single exception. The Guidelines require a 20 foot setback from the face-of- curb for signs 3 feet in height or less. The site plan provided shows the proposed sign to be approximately 10 feet from the face-of-curb. Therefore the submitted plans are considered CONDITIONALLY APPROVED. Prior to installation, please submit a revised site plan indicating a location that meets the 20 foot setback requirement.
