APPLICATIONS
The following example illustrates the information that is required for all pole, monument, and
fi-eestanding sign permit applications. Prior to approval, all such proposed signs must be reviewed
for potential issues by the Traffic Engineering Department, which will not allow signs to be
approved over the counter. Additional time will be required for on-site inspection.

unobstructed clear view of the public right-of-way and nearby traffic regulatory signs of any
pedestrian, bicyclist or motor vehicle driver

Dear Alpaca Properties LLC:
Earlier this year, a notiHcation from Union Bank was sent advising of its name change and rc-branding elforts.
As noted in thai letter, and as part of developing the new brand, it is necessary to replace all existing exterior
signage which reflects the former name.
We are proposing to replace the signage at this site as indicated in the attached brand book to reflect the name
and identity change. This replacement of signage involves removing the existing signage and installing new
signage in its place, and also may include some building repair and paint touch-up as necessary to hide the
former signage.
We ask that you review the attached brand book and would appreciate receiving acknowledgement of your
consent to replace any existing signage to reflect thie new Union Bank logo and trademark. In addition to any
lease requirements, local municipalities often require a letter indicating the building owner's consent before a
permit is issued. Please keep this design confidential.
Based on our current schedule, we anticipate installation sometime between mid-July and mid-September
2009. This is part of a bank-wide campaign witli over 420 locations. Your prompt cooperation is needed and
much appreciated in order to have a consistent corporate image that the public can identify. Thank you in

the re-branding program as referenced in the letter above. I furtlier authorize Union Bank or its representative
to obtain a permit in Vendor's name. All permits for (he sign conversion hereby consented to by Landlord.
