Prior to approval, all such proposed signs must be reviewed for potential issues by the Traffic Engineering Department, which will not allow signs to be approved over the counter. Additional time will be required for on-site inspection. The ARC tinderstands (he proposal calls for re-facing the existing monument sign al this address. The proposed plans fully conform to thc Design Guidelines ofthe CRC with the single exception of curb setback distance in relation lo sign height. The AKC recogni/cs that the po<;ition ofthe building in relation to thc Van Allen Way eul-ile-sac, ci-calcs a unique set of circumstances that precludes incrcjising the curb setback distance for the sign and ellectively precludes any other location for thc sign that would bc pioximate t«i thc driveway.
