SITE PLAN REQUIREMENT FOR POLE, MONUMENT, AND FREESTANDING SIGN APPLICATIONS The following example illustrates the information that is required for all pole, monument, and freestanding sign permit applications. Prior to approval, all such proposed signs must be reviewed for potential issues by the Transportation Department, which will not allow signs to be approved over the counter. Additional time will be required for on-site inspection. We can agree to support this request, however our position regarding signage on the upper storage suite remains as originally discussed. As you may or may not be aware, there is an approved sign program for the Paseo Carlsbad center that will need to be amended. The current fee for a sign program amendment is $589. Please consult with Matt Herrill (888-832-5863) at your earliest convenience to initiate this process with his sign contractor. Due to the structure itself and how crowded it is, we may need to add access panels in the future depending on the exact location of a tenant's sign. As for the sign program amendment... we can modify to reflect the "either or" and make the correction on the 2nd floor Corner Bakery suite. Can Corner Bakery relocate in advance of the new sign program amendment being submitted/approved? Is there even an access panel in the location they want to go in that would allow them to install their sign? I tried calling Greg Ahman, but you guys already disconnected his phone. Regarding the sign program amendment, I would suggest creating a new page in the Sign Program similar to the one we did for splitting the larger suites, when~ we utilized an "either or" type scenario. I think to be fair to the opposing lower suite (currently Menchi's) we should look at doing the same thing for them. Also, in researching whether we could support this revision, I noticed a mistake in the sign program that we should also address. The wall sign location for the upper suite that Corner Bakery is presently using for storage is shown located on the easterly face of the pony wall along the upper walkway instead above the suite like the rest of the units. We should revise this as well. Call me if you have any questions.
