B. Materials the sign(s) will be constructed of.
C. Source of Illumination.
D. Proposed sign copy.

for potential sight distance and visibility issues. Additional information must supplement
this application showing how the proposed signage will not encroach into the public right-
of-way or present a traffic hazard. Page 3 of 4 illustrates an example for what would be

SITE PLAN REQUIREMENT FOR POLE, MONUMENT, AND FREESTANDING SIGN
APPLICATIONS
The following example illustrates the information that is required for all pole, monument, and
freestanding sign permit applications. Prior to approval, all such proposed signs must be reviewed
for potential issues by the Transportation Department, which will not allow signs to be approved
over the counter. Additional time will be required for on-site inspection.

The following information needs to be added/revised;
1. The lot lines need to be added to the site plan.
2. Each lot needs to have a separate permit (separate application, fees, site
plan, etc.).
3. As shown on page 3 of the application, the distance from the face of curb to
the monuments needs to be added to the site plan as Traffic/Engineering will be
reviewing this information.
Once submitted to Planning, it will be internally routed to Traffic/Engineering for
their approval. Once approved (typical time frame is 1-2 weeks as stated on the
application) Planning will call the contact on the application and let them know
the plans are ready at the building counter for the building permit.

Dear Planner,
We will be submitting for sign permits for some new Monument Signs for 1939-1949
Palomar Oaks Way and 6349 Paseo Del Lago.
Attached is a multi-page PDF which includes our application, Owner's letter of
authorization and signage concepts. I am requesting a courtesy review of the proposed
signs before we submit for the permits. We are located in Orange County and I'm
hoping to eliminate multiple trips to the City's offices.
We will provide structural engineering for the footing design, detailed sign locations and
construction details when we submit for the permits.
