SITE PLAN REQUIREMENT FOR POLE, MONUMENT, AND FREESTANDING SIGN
APPLICATIONS
The following example illustrates the information that is required for all pole, monument, and
freestanding sign permit applications. Prior to approval, all such proposed signs must be reviewed
for potential issues by the Transportation Department, which will not allow signs to be approved
over the counter. Additional time will be required for on-site inspection. ·

unobstructed clear view of the public right-of-way and nearl::,y traffic regulatory signs of any
pedestrian, bicyclist or motor vehicle driver.

Ill Propose (2) Freestanding Parking Lot Signs in Planters (Details}
1. PANEL: Fabricated .090" aluminum panel with surface applied opaque graphics. Painted face and returns. 1a. Fabricated internal structure to produce surfaces free from oil canning, warping,
distortion or any irregularities or inconsistencies. 1 b. All welds to be ground smooth prior to painting. 1 c. Secure panel to post with countersunk mechanical fasteners, painted to match adjacent
surface color. Preference is to have fasteners on top and bottom surfaces of panel. 1 d. All surfaces to be free of visible seams. 2. POST: Aluminum post stock material. Paint all surfaces. 2a. Weld
end cap. Paint to match post. 2b. Paint stripe, all sides. 3. MOW STRIP FEATURE: Provide additional concrete as part of footing .ush to ground to create circular mow strip to prevent damage of
painted post. Mow strip to have 8" diameter. 4. MOUNTING: Sign contractor responsible for field survey of existing conditions prior to shop drawing submittal to include appropriate mechanical
fasteners and recommended footing configurations. 5. Sign contractor to provide footings to withstand local windload and weather conditions. 6. TYPESTYLE: Myriad Pro Bold, kiss cut vinyl letters.
Align graphics/or copy as shown in the exhibits. All copy to be approved by Wells Fargo. See sheet 04.06 for approved layout templates. 7. Additional messaging can be added for CalDAG compliant
