Prior to approval, all such proposed signs must be reviewed for potential issues by the Transportation Department, which wlU not aUow signs to be approved over the counter. The proposed plans show that the new monument sign will replace the existing monument sign in the same exact location. The new sign will be placed on the existing concrete footing, thus no grading will occur. The single monument sign is consistent with the CRC Design Guidelines and therefore the submitted plans are considered APPROVED. You may proceed with the construction and installation of your sign once a sign pennit is obtained from the City of Carlsbad.
