Prior to approval, all such proposed signs must be reviewed for potential issues by the Transportation Department, which will not allow signs to be approved over the counter. The proposed plans for a single wall sign are consistent with the CRC Design Guidelines and therefore the submitted plans are considered APPROVED. However, the ARC does recommend that individual lettering/logo be placed on an aluminum raceway and then mount the raceway to the wall. This helps reduce the amount of holes that are drilled to the wall. Please note that buildings of this size are entitled to two wall signs, but only one can be placed on any elevation. Thus with this approval, no other wall sign can be placed on this particular elevation. Additionally, your lot is also entitled to one monument sign. You may proceed with the construction and installation of your sign once a sign permit is obtained from the City of Carlsbad.
