Prior to approval, all such proposed signs must be reviewed for potential issues by the Transportation Department, which will not allow signs to be approved over the counter. Maureen Cougnet, Senior Account Executive with Outdoor Dimensions has applied on our behalf for a permit to install a billboard on El Camino Real for the purpose of advertising our new apartment homes, Montectio Apartments at Carlsbad. We have been advised this application was denied based on construction being completed. I respectfully request a reconsideration of this decision as we have not yet completed construction. To date we have received a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy for our Office and Community building and 6 of the 25 multi-family buildings that are to be constructed, the remaining 19 buildings are in various stages of construction. We do not anticipate full completion and the issuance of a full Certificate of Occupancy until later this year. It is my hope the information above will be sufficient for your reconsideration, however if it is not, please advise of the documentation you will require to approve our request for this permit.
