Booth Account Executive 4520 Federal Blvd., Suite C * Six, Diqo, CA 32102 * (619) 262-4747 As w have discussed by phone, ny client, Decom Systems, wuld like to have the sign criteria for Palomar Oaks amnded to allow illuminated letters and logo. Size of the letters and logo wuld conform to the criteria. The reasons. ny client feels they should be all& an illuminated sign are as follcrws: 1. 2. 3. 4. If The criteria was written by a uxpany specializing in non-illurdinated signs with no knowledge of future tenants or their need for illumi- nated identity. Systems is a mufacturer of telemetry equipnent, wrd and signal processors and satellite stations with offices mrldwide and visitors from arod the mrld. They do not feel that a corporate . identity constructed from polystyrene is in keeping with their international stature. Allowing this amndment muld mt be unfair to other tenants of Palmar Oaks because only tw other tenants have the polystyrene signs; one a lcgo and the other a dl set of letters representing little financial loss should those tenants' choose to replace their signs with new ones. The developer, his architect, Decom Systems and Signtech were not aware of the existence of the polystyrene criteria until application was mde for a sign permit. Many hours and cbllars have been expended in developing Decam's sign package and a prototype letter for the axpany and the developer to approve. your departmnt wuld like .any other information to approve this
