Dear Mrs. Rusing:
I have received your letter for a request to extend the date of compliance for your sign
permit. According to a previous letter sent to you dated December 16, 1991, city staff has
given you until January 1, 1993, to obtain all necessary permits and install a new
conforming sign. Throughout this time period, we have worked closely with you and Mr.
Rusing in resolving the issues involving your sign, and we feel we have progressed closer
to solving the issues involved. Because you have continuously showed a determination to
resolve this issue and that there is difficulty involved with continuing to meet the January
1, 1993 deadline based on your financial status, staff excepts your request to extend the
deadline in which you must obtain all required sign permits and building permits, as well
as completely modify the existing sign or install a new conforming sign. The new deadline
is January 1,1994.
