The sign application proposes more sign area than is allowed for the site. The previous Sign Programs established the lineal frontage of the building at 235 square feet. This frontage measurement does not change with the new addition since the whole building frontage was not originally used to determine frontage. Using 1.5 square feet of sign area allowed per lineal foot of building frontage, this will yield 352.5 square feet of sign area, the maximum allowed. The proposed sign area is roughly 450 square feet of area. The application will need to be amended to conform to the 352.5 square feet allowed.
