PO Box 2833 La Habra, CA 90632-2833 RE: PS 92-112 - CHEVRON STATION SIGN PERMIT AT PEA SOUP ANDERSON’S This letter is intended to confirm your phone conversation with David Rick of our department regarding the two “price signs” for Pea Soup’s Chevron Station. As you are aware, the sign permits were issued in error based on inadequate information shown on the plans. We would like to correct the situation as quickly as possible so that you may install the signs at approved locations. As you can see from the attached memo faxed to you on February 9, 1993, the sign located on Paseo del Norte creates a sight distance hazard for cars exiting the site and must be relocated to the west at least 20’ back from the curb. The submitted plans failed the sign is presently located. to indicate the existing 10’ landscape and utility easement along this roadway within which The other sign, located on Palomar Airport Road, has already been removed; however, I would like to suggest that you come in and talk to Clyde Wickham and David regarding alternative sites for the sign. The setbacks and visibility issues at the corner of Palomar Airport Road and Paseo del Norte are complex due to the bridge and road widening project.
