HomeMy WebLinkAboutPS 93-52; Merrill Lynch; Sign Permits/Programs (PS)- City of Carlsbad July 1, 1999 Helders Revocable Trust 245 Via Tierra Encinitas, CA 92024 Dear Helders Revocable Trust Representative: It has come to my attention that your building located at 1901 Camino Vida Roble has nonconforming signs located on its south facing elevation. Multi or multiple tenant buildings per the Specific Plan that regulates signs for your property may have only one six inch high (5 sq. ft. maximum size) sign located over the entrance and directed towards the parking areas. It appears that sign permits for the subject signs were applied for’at separate times and the City assumed in each case that the sign was for a single tenant occupied building when it approved the permits. Therefore the sign permits were issued in error. Please take notice that the City is not requiring the removal of the subject signs. Instead the signs are considered “nonconforming” uses. As such, the signs shall not be altered, improved, reconstructed, restored, repaired, intensified, expanded or extended. The City expects that each sign will be removed when the tenant, for which the sign was erected, vacates the building. Also, please be advised that no additional signs will be permitted for the subject building. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.
