RE: POSTING OF PUBLIC NOTICING WITHIN STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY
Ms. Woods:
SDG&E would like to request permission to place public noticing within street rights-of-
way along Alga Road and Alicante Road for the Batiquitos Power Line Project. The
public noticing is required by California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) General
Order 131-D.
We understand that our request will be processed in the same manner as political
campaign sign requests and will require submitting a $25.00 application fee and posting a
$200.00 deposit check. Checks for the application fee and deposit are included. We
assume that the deposit check will be returned if SDG&E removes the public notice signs
at the end of the posting period and City personnel are not called upon to remove them.
A map showing the locations of the public notices is attached. A total of four notices will
be posted. Two notices will be placed out of the street right-of-way and within SDG&E’s
existing transmission easements. The remaining two notices will be placed in parkway
landscape areas within street rights-of-way. One notice will be placed on the south side of
Alga Road and one notice on the east side of Alicante Road. The notices will be posted
for two consecutive weeks, starting on September 11 and ending on September 22. The
notices will be removed by SDG&E no later than the afternoon of September 22.
