RE: Sign Permit Application
Dear Mike:
In response to your letter of December 22, 1995, requesting a sign permit
application for the Aviara vegetation design on the Planning Area 27 slope, enclosed is a request for amendment to the ~ ' 1- Pr am, and sign
permit application.
design does not constitute a "sign". Indeed, the City has allowed similar vegetation
designs in other areas of the City to exist for years without the requirement of a sign
permit. We are surprised that the Aviara vegetation design has been singled out as a
"sign", thus requiring a sign permit.
We have enclosed additional wording to the Aviara Community Sign Program @. 7.5) to allow the vegetation design and revised landscaping plan sheets of the affected landscape
area.
