Dear Christor:
Thank you for your correspondence to Mi. Martin Huffinan, dated August 22,
1996. Because of the tremendous importance that directional signage has to the success
of the Carlsbad Golf Center, and our firm belief that this does create a traffic circulation
issue, we would respectfully request that your decision of denial be reconsidered.
Whether this can be done administratively or an appearance is required before the
Planning Commission, I would ask that you take such action necessary to again address
this issue.
We firmly believe, after looking at other directional signage in Carlsbad, that if
such signage is not allowed by ordinance, the City may desire to amend the ordinance to
allow directional signage in various specified applications.
