HomeMy WebLinkAboutPS 97-121; Abcow Staffing; Sign Permits/Programs (PS)- City of Carlsbad July 1, 1999 Pacific Ridge Commerce Center c/o Camino Properties 1947 Camino Vida Roble #lo4 Carlsbad, CA 92008 Dear Camino Properties Representative: It has come to my attention that your building, located at 1947 Camino Vida Roble, contains illegal signs. The copy of the subject signs are as follows: VCL Construction and Jems Communications. According to the City’s sign ordinance, a sign permit application, signed by all owners of real property upon whch the sign is to be located, shall be submitted and receive City approval prior to the erection of the sign. A search of City records indicates that no such applications were received, processed or approved for the subject signs. With regard to the subject signs, I have determined that had applications been submitted to the City, the permit requests would have been denied because the subject signs do not conform to the sign requirements of the Specific Plan that regulates such matters for your property. Pursuant to the sign ordinance (§21.41.010) and based on the above, the subject signs constitute a public nuisance. As such, you have 30 days to remove the signs. If after 30 days from the date of this notice, the signs have not been removed, this matter will be referred to the City’s code enforcement division to initiate remedial actions.
