RE: PS 98-05 - SUNROAD PLAZA NORTH
Dear Jerry:
The number of signs proposed for each building elevation should be two with a maximum
number of signs being four. I suggest that one of the three signs proposed facing Palomar
Airport Road be relocated to the South elevation of the building (same location as the sign
deleted in the latest application). This would provide signage visible from Palomar Airport Road
although not directly facing Palomar Airport Road. This would still allow a sign to be placed on
the other building frontage facing the cul-de-sac entrance.
Please provide the square footage of signage proposed for the monument. The exhibits
submitted are not to scale and this cannot be determined. Again, this sign area shall not
exceed 35 sq. ft. per face. This sign should be used only for the building identification of
Sunroad Plaza North. Additional signage may not fit. Some of the signs on the monument
may be a bit redundant since the other signs will be readily visible from Palomar Airport Road.
As an option, it may be worth putting Sunroad on the South side of the sign and individual
tenant names on the North side which would be more helpful to people traveling Westbound on
Palomar Airport Road. I would prefer that just the building identification be used.
With the above comments made on the sign program, I’m sure the program could be approved.
