Wayne (copy attached), outlining the regulation for signage on a multi-tenant buiiding. Many business owners have approached me expressing their extreme disapproval of such a restrictive sign ordnance for tenants within their multi- tenant building. Under the Carlsbad Airport Centre Owners Association’s CCbR’s we regulate signage and maintain a professional image throughout the Carlsbad Airport Centre. It is my belief that the signage and general conditions of this industrial centre represent the highest standards throughout the area -- both in its value and appearance. As the Centre continues to increases its number of multi-tenant buildings, we need to address this serious problem. Most corporations are very specific as to logo’s and name recognition on their buildings and will not lease property that unreasonably restricts their identification. The Carlsbad Airport Centre Owners Association believes, as does many of its colleagues, that changes should be made to this sign ordnance. We will be happy to meet with you and discuss some alternate solutions that will work for the property owners, tenants, and City of Carlsbad. 2006 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad, CA 92008 (760) 929-2275 Fax: (760) 929-2215 July 5, 1999 City of Cartsbad Mayor Lewis and City Council Page 2of2 1 would call your attention to the City of Carlsbad, Planning Department's stationary projecting the logo and City's name.
