Meyer DCM Properties, Inc. 5600 Avenida Encinas, Suite 104 Carlsbad, CA 92008 SUBJECT: CARLSBAD RANCH DIRECTIONAL AND COMMUNITY IDENTITY AND CARLSBAD RANCH CORPORATE CENTER MONUMENT SIGNS Dear David: This letter is to document the status of signage approvals for the Carlsbad Ranch Directional and Community Identity Sign Program as well as the Carlsbad Ranch Corporate Center (Lot 15) Project. The Carlsbad Ranch Specific Plan provides for the approval of directional and community identity signs for the Carlsbad Ranch. Sign Program Application 98-154 was approved on February 22, 1999 and allows for the construction of a Carlsbad Ranch monument sign at the comer of Palomar Airport Road . and Armada Drive with a second sign at the comer of Cannon Road and LEG0 Drive. A Sign Permit to construct the monument signs has not been submitted. The Carlsbad Ranch Corporate Center (Lot 15) signage was approved by the City Council as part of Site Development Plan 98-l land Coastal Development Permit 98-44 on November 10, 1998. On October 14, 1999 a revised sign program (PS 99-l 10) was submitted for review and approval. As we discussed initially on October 21, 1999 the removal of the. cornice from the top of the monument sign design was the only item which has delayed the approval of the revised sign program. The application is pending awaiting revisions to the monument sign design.
