Dear Van:
Attached. at long last, are three copies of the revised Sign Program for this development,
as well as an inventory of the existing signage.
The “existing” package consists of a site plan showing all of the sign locations that were
used by the Pea Soup Anderson’s facility, including the gas station signage. The site plan
contains an inventory of the signs, including their size and quantity, and is as accurate as
we were able to ascertain from the City files and record photographs. The “existing”
package also includes a combination of photos and drawings of the “existing” signs
showing them in elevation.
The “proposed” package is intended to become the Sign Program for the property. It
includes a site plan showing the freeway sign and the proposed wall and directional
signage. Each sign is illustrated with its related specifications. We have also included
photographs showing the proposed wall signage projected on to the building elevations.
We do not have building drawings to use as the basis for the elevations, therefore the
photographic projections were used.
Pursuant to your letter dated March 3, 1999, we have made the following revisions:
-Only one freestanding sign is included. Holiday Inn insisted that we maintain the
freeway oriented sign rather than the corner sign that was preferred by Staff. Your letter
inferred that this would be acceptable.

-Sign “H’ has been eliminated.
-The awnings have been eliminated from the program and are included in the
building permit. They are not backlit.
