I think the original owners did not want wall signs since it would damage the exterior stone material of the
building. I don't recall it be a city request or requirement to prevent wall signs. I would have them submit
written approval of the changes from the Carlsbad Ranch Design Review Board prior to approving the
request. I don't need to review the amended program. Thanks.

The owners are amending their sign program to allow for some wall signs which currently are not allowed
per the existing sign program. All of the changes are consistent with the City's sign ordinance. Is there a
reason why they were not allowed to have wall signs? Do you need to review this for any reason? Thanks
