Dear Christer,
As you know we have been trying to have the City of Carlsbad make a decision regarding the signage issues at the Island @ Carlsbad. The following are the issues we need some resolution to:
1. A decision on available square footage for tenants facing College Blvd. and Faraday Ave. based on the lineal footage of buildings 4 and 5. I understand there are some discrepancies in approved numbers on the lineal footages.
2. A decision on the ability to use more square footage than allowed to enhance storefronts using only graphic symbols. There will be no copy or typography on this part of the storefront. These graphic symbols will be three dimensional with a maximum size of 42” x 42” and a maximum projection off the wall of 24”.
I understand you are nut the one handling this decision biit theis has been no communication regarding this question and we must have a decision from the city. I understand Chris DeCerbo will be handling this for the city.
