Mike,
Here is a picture of the rear of our house where we plan to add a family room
and kitchen. Since our development was designed as a zero lot line property,
our addition is right on the property line (along the white fencing). We
have discussed this with our neighbor at 3511 Stockton (207 on the tract map)
and have agreed to put up a temporary fence during construction to protect their
property.
As you can see on this picture the roof does hang over onto their
property, but there is a gutter on that side and we plan to put a gutter on
the addition.
Also, on the question of the drainage on the property, here is a picture of
our rear yard. The existing drain is located approximately where the "X" is
(behind the pole) which will have to be moved back. Steve Weber has described
this on his latest plans (submitted July 12 th). There is a line dug in the
grass on the left side of the picture, which marks were our addition will be.
