Re: Approval of Sidewalk Sign Permit
Dear Mr. Brown:
Thank you for submitting the original Certificate of Liability Insurance necessary to complete
your application for a Sidewalk Sign Permit. Your application has been approved. Attached
is a copy of the approved Sidewalk Sign Permit for your records. Please note the sign must
be placed in the exact location as shown on the approved plans and the required liability
insurance must be maintained for as long as the sign continues to be placed within the
public right-of-way.
The attached permit allows you to retain your sign for; 1) as long as the Housing and
Redevelopment Commission allows sidewalk signs to remain, 2) as long as the sign
continues to meet the standards outlined within the Carlsbad Village Master Plan and
Design Manual, and 3) as long as the sign is consistent with this permit approval. It is
important to note that the Housing and Redevelopment Commission will complete an
annual review of the sidewalk sign regulations to determine their continued applicability.
