A requirement of the permit is that the City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad Redevelopment Agency be listed as Additional Insured on your insurance policy. The most recent certificate of insurance on file expired on 10/14/2001. Please ask your insurance provider to ensure that a new certificate is sent to us immediately and upon renewal annually. If proof of current insurance coverage has not been received or if the items have not been removed from the public right-of-wav within 10 business days of the date of this letter, the A-Frame Sign mav be summarilv removed without further notice from the Citv and disposed of as surplus propertv. Having received all required documents your application has been approved. Attached is a copy of the approved Sidewalk Sign Permit for your records. The attached permit allows you to retain your sign for; 1) as long as the Housing and Redevelopment Commission allows sidewalk signs to remain, 2) as long as the sign continues to meet the standards outlined within the Carlsbad Village Master Plan and Design Manual, and 3) as long as the sign is consistent with this permit approval. It is important to note that the Housing and Redevelopment Commission will complete an annual review of the sidewalk sign regulations to determine their continued applicability. A valid Certificate of Insurance is required for as long as the A-Frame sign continues to be placed within the public right-of-way.
