Dear Austin:
We received your letter informing us that the insurance for the sidewalk sign for Pacific
Coast Printing will expire December 18, 2005. However, we have been unable to use the
sign, due to the fact that it is blocking a large portion of the sidewalk making it hard for
pedestrians to pass. Therefore, we will not renew the insurance for the sign because the
sign is no longer being used.
Thank you for your courtesy notice.
Sincecely,
Karen Gibson

RE: Current Insurance Certificate for Sidewalk Sign
Dear Pacific Coast Printing:
Our records indicate that you were issued Permit #02-35 for a Sidewalk Sign that
is located within the public right-of-way. An ongoing requirement of the permit is
that you maintain a valid certificate of insurance for the item within the public
right-of-way naming the City of Carisbad and the Carisbad Redevelopment
Agency as additional insured.
This is a courtesy notice to inform you that the certificate of insurance we
currently have on file is due to expire on December 18, 2002. If you would like to
continue to have the Sidewalk Sign within the public right-of-way, please have
your insurance carrier forward to us an updated insurance certificate within 10
business days of the expiration date. Otherwise, the item must be removed from
the public right-of-way.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. If you need further
information or assistance, please contact my office at (760) 434-2813.
Sincerely,
Lori Rosenstein

Re: Pacific Coast Printing - 3021 State Street
Thank you for applying for a land use permit in the City of Carisbad. The Housing &
Redevelopment Department along with all other appropriate departments have reviewed your
administrative redevelopment permit, application no. RP02-35 as to its completeness for
processing. The application is complete as submitted.
Administrative redevelopment permits require two ten-day public notices, in order to initiate the
public notification process, please provide a complete public notification package as follows:
The public notification package shall Include a radius map, a type written list of the
names and addresses of all property owners within a 300' radius of the subject property,
and two sets of mailing labels with names and addresses of all property owners within a
300' radius of the subject property. The property owner list shall include the San Diego
County Assessor's parcel number from the latest assessment rolls. Except for single-
family residences, the apartment or suite number must be included on the address
mailing labels for property owners within a 300-foot radius of the subject property; the
parcel number should not be typed on the address labels. The radius map must be
provided with a scale not less than 1"=200' showing each lot within 300 feet of the
exterior boundaries of the subject property.
Since the property is also located within the coastal zone the foilowing additional
notification materials are required: a radius map showing all parcels within a 100-foot
radius of the subject property; a list of addresses for all occupants within the 100-foot
radius; and two-sets if mailing labels addressed to "Occupant" for each address within
the 100-foot radius.
You can acquire this information from the County Assessor's Office or you can hire a Title
Company to prepare the public notification package for you.
Please contact my office at (760) 434-2813, if you have any questions regarding this
correspondence.
