Date of Notice: September 20, 2002 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carlsbad has made a final decision to APPROVE an Administrative Redevelopment Permit (RP02-43) for a change in use from light industrial to corporate office building located at 2501 State Street. The property is located on the west side of State Street where Laguna Drive intersects State Street. The assessor parcel number is 203-155-200-10. The proposed project is not located within the Coastal Zone. The applicant. Soil Retention Systems, is requesting an Administrative Redevelopment Permit for a change In land use to convert an existing light industrial building (Culligan Water) to a corporate office use. An office use in Land Use District 4 is a provisional use and therefore, requires approval of an administrative redevelopment permit. Staff supports the issuance of the redevelopment permit for the following reasons: the use will be compatible in scale and character to the surrounding Village development; the development is not likely to negatively impact existing or planned retail continuity in the area; there is sufficient on-site parking available to serve required parking needs; and the office development will not impact livability of residents in the area. If you wish to appeal the decision of the Housing and Redevelopment Director on this matter to the Design Review Board, you must file a written appeal with the Housing and Redevelopment Department within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this decision/notice. The written appeal must be submitted no later than 5:00pm on September 30, 2002. Appeal forms are available at the Housing and Redevelopment Department located at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B.
