The appeal period has elapsed and no appeals were filed. Attached is a copy of the approved permit authorizing the installation of an unmanned telecommunications facility on the most northeasterly building of the Carlsbad Inn property. Please review all conditions carefully. Violation of the conditions could result in revocation of this permit. RP03-15) and Coastal Development Permit (application no. CDP03-39) have been received and reviewed by the Housing and Redevelopment Department together with other appropriate City departments. It has been determined that the applications are complete and suitable for final processing. The first of two 10-day public notices was mailed out today, Friday, November 7, 2003. Unless additional information is presented to staff which would preclude approval of the project, the Housing and Redevelopment Director intends to approve the request for installation of the cellular facility and associated antennas at Carlsbad Inn located at 3001 Carlsbad Blvd., as shown on the plans received by the Housing and Redevelopment Department on October 6, 2003. The decision of the Housing and Redevelopment Director is subject to a 10-day appeal period (the second public notice). Final approval of the project does not occur until the appeal period expires. One antenna will be mounted within each dormer window and both antennas will be screened by RF transparent material that will mimic the design, style, and materials of existing dormers on the building. The equipment will be enclosed within the buildings attic space and, thus, be screened from public view. Sprint proposes a false ceiling within the attic space to conceal the coax run.
