HomeMy WebLinkAboutRP 04-02; PRIETTO 2ND DWELLING AND GARAGE; Redevelopment Permits (RP) (4)Citv of Carlsbad Housing & Redevelopment Department CITY OF CARLSBAD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PRIETO MIXED USE PROJECT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Design Review Board of the City of Carlsbad will hold a Public Hearinq In the City Council Chambers, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, California, at 6:00 pm on Monday, May 24, 2004, to consider approval of a Minor Redevelopment Permit (RP 04-02) Request for a Minor Redevelopment Permit for the construction of a 2-story, 753 square foot garage and second story 596 square foot residential unit on property located at 3071 Jefferson Street in Land Use District 2 of the Carlsbad Village Redevelopment Area. The proposed project also includes the following requests: 1) a variance to exceed the standard building setback on the rear ofthe property; and 2) a variance to exceed the standard building setback on the south side yard of the property. The proposed project is located on the west side of Jefferson Street between Carlsbad Village Drive and Oak Avenue in Land Use District No. 2 of the Carlsbad Village Redevelopment Area (Assessor Parcel Numbers 203-351-11). Those persons wishing to speak on this proposal are cordially invited to attend the public hearing. You may also provide your comments in writing to the Housing and Redevelopment Department at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B, Carlsbad, CA 92008. As a result ofthe environmental review underthe California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the Environmental Protection Ordinance of the City of Carlsbad, the Planning Department has determined that the project is categorically exempt from the requirement for preparation of environmental documents pursuant to Section 15303 of the State CEQA Guidelines as the construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures. The Design Review Board will be considering approval of the environmental determination during the public hearing. If you challenge the Minor Redevelopment Permit in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Carlsbad at or prior to the public hearing.
