As a result of the environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the Environmental Protection Ordinance of the City of Carlsbad, the Housing & Redevelopment Department has determined that the project is categorically exempt from the requirement for preparation of environmental documents pursuant to Section 15332 of the State CEQA Guidelines as an infill development project. The Design Review Board will be considering recommending approval of the environmental determination during the public hearing. If you challenge the Major Redevelopment Permit in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Carlsbad at or prior to the public hearing.
