HomeMy WebLinkAboutRP 04-23; Carlsbad Village Townhomes; Redevelopment Permits (RP) (4)Citv of Carlsbad Housing & Redevelopment Department CITY OF CARLSBAD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CARLSBAD VILLAGE TOWNHOMES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Design Review Board of the City of Carlsbad will hold a special Public Hearing in the Carlsbad Senior Center, 799 Pine Street, Carlsbad, California, 92008, at 6:00 pm on Monday, November 21, 2005, to consider approval of a Major Redevelopment Permit No. RP04-23 for the construction of a 13,895 square foot, two-story, nine-unit condominium on the property located at 2683 & 2687 Roosevelt Street in Land Use District 8 of the Carlsbad Village Redevelopment Area. Consideration is also being given to approve the operation of a Bed & Breakfast Inn within Unit 6, which has 4 bedrooms. Those persons wishing to speak on this proposal are cordially invited to attend the public hearing. If you have any questions or would like a copy of the staff report, please contact Cliff Jones in the Housing and Redevelopment Department at (760) 434-2813. You may also provide your comments in writing to the Housing and Redevelopment Department at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B, Carlsbad, CA 92008. As a result of the environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the Environmental Protection Ordinance of the City of Carlsbad, the Housing & Redevelopment Department has determined that the project is categorically exempt from the requirement for preparation of environmental documents pursuant to Section 15332 ofthe State CEQA Guidelines as an infill development project. The Design Review Board will be considering recommending approval of the environmental determination during the public hearing. If you challenge the Major Redevelopment Permit No. RP04-23 in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Carlsbad at or prior to the public hearing.
